As Group Head of Sustainability, Brett is responsible for developing and implementing Waystone’s corporate sustainability strategy, driving sustainable growth and long-term value creation across the Group. Brett chairs the Group’s Sustainability Committee and leads key initiatives, including the development and execution of Waystone’s climate action plan, materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement and reporting, supply chain sustainability and employee engagement in sustainability programmes. He works closely with teams across Waystone’s global business to embed ESG into decision-making and operations, and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the Group’s sustainability performance.
In his previous role within Business Development, Brett successfully led the design and deployment of a critical system for managing RfPs and DDQs, enhancing operational efficiency across the business.
Before joining Waystone in 2020, Brett amassed a wealth of experience in alternatives operations, change management and product development across various roles. His prior expertise spans strategic project leadership, stakeholder engagement and service provider management in both regulated and unregulated markets. Notably, he managed complex fund launches, mergers and acquisitions, aligning these operations with corporate growth objectives.
Prior to Waystone, Brett served as Head of Operations for Alternatives at HSBC Global Asset Management. Throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise in IT system integration, operational risk management and building governance frameworks. His work includes deploying control systems and MI/KPI reporting to drive transparency and investor trust.
Brett holds a Masters and Doctorate in Chemistry from Imperial College London and is based in our London office.
