Darren Gorman

Darren is based in Luxembourg and provides strategic direction to the business locally. He and his team have worked to define and lead Waystone’s business in Luxembourg and as a result has seen a significant increase in Waystone’s strength and presence within the Luxembourg market.

Darren has considerable expertise in Legal, Compliance and Risk functions during a career which has spanned over 23 years and has a strong track record in the design and roll out of corporate governance frameworks, including provision of independent non-executive director services across a range of investment strategies, MLRO services and designated person responsibilities for investment funds.

He is an experienced Luxembourg resident director who holds mandates across a range of investment strategies and asset classes encompassing both regulated and unregulated investment vehicles. His mandates include those for leading global private banking and institutional asset management groups with particular focus on private equity, real estate, credit and special situations vehicles.

Prior to joining Waystone Darren established and ran a specialised regulatory change, compliance and corporate governance consultancy and before that, he spent 13 years with RBC most recently as Director, Enterprise Compliance at RBC Investor & Treasury Services based in London, where he was responsible for managing compliance risk across the UK, Ireland and Middle East.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Trinity College, Dublin.
