Roman Ipfling is Managing Director of Regulatory Compliance Services at Waystone and is responsible for leading the International Tax Compliance Group. In the latter role, he is responsible for the management operations, systems and reporting of the team.
Roman also provides independent director, trustee and related administration services to a wide range of investment vehicles and structures.
Prior to joining Waystone, Roman served as US Tax Manager at KPMG LLP, Cayman Islands and was a member of the company’s Global FATCA team. Previously, Roman served as Vice President of Capital Dynamics, a Swiss independent asset manager, where he managed the administration and investor relations for several private equity funds and structured products. He also supervised administrators and oversaw audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings.
Earlier in his career, Roman worked in the US tax group of KPMG Cayman Islands and Ernst & Young Germany, advising on a wide range of partnership and corporate international tax and reporting issues.
Roman is a graduate of the University of Denver, where he earned a Master of Taxation and Master in Accountancy degree. He also earned a Diploma in Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Business Taxation, and Banking/Finance from the University of Saarland, Germany.
Roman is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs.
