Austin Brady joined Waystone in 2020, bringing with him over 14 years of investment management experience. Austin has both middle office and front office experience in credit risk, securitisation, portfolio management and trading of Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) bonds and public sector and corporate loans, having worked at Dexia Credit Local for over 13 years.
At Waystone, Austin serves as Product Lead – Credit and Research for our global Regulated Funds Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for developing products to meet the diverse needs of our Credit fund manager client base which includes a global valuation solution for illiquid Credit assets and Alternative assets. Austin also produces various research articles for Waystone’s clients and the broader funds industry on topical issues in Credit and Alternatives, valuations, regulatory changes and ABS.
Previously, Austin was a Director in Waystone’s Investment Management Oversight team where he was the principal contact for credit fund clients and responsible for investment monitoring of portfolio managers and funds operating under Waystone Management Company (IE) Limited, which is authorised as an AIFM and UCITS manager by the Central Bank of Ireland. Austin also served as the Designated Person for Investment Management within the team and was a member of both the Waystone Investment and Valuation Committees.
Austin has a first-class (honours) master’s degree in economics and finance and holds a PhD in Financial Economics, both completed at University College Cork.
