Damian Haier is the Designated Person with responsibility for Capital & Financial Management (PCF-39A) for Waystone Management Company IE Limited, and is based in the Dublin office. Damian joined Waystone in 2019 and has a wealth of experience in fund risk, operational risk and client onboarding and its associated policies and procedures. He has over 15 years’ experience in Fund Administration and Fund Management Companies.
At Waystone, he previously held the role of Designated Person with responsibility for Operational Risk Management (PCF-39B) and has vast experience in Fund and Operational Risk. Damian monitors fund activities to ensure all valuation and investment guidelines and regulations are being adhered to. Damian is involved in the oversight of all operational aspects from a fund risk perspective, including constant discussion with and escalation where required to the Boards of Directors. In addition, Damian participates in internal working groups on topics such as Delegation oversight, Liquidity Management Tools, Securities Lending as well as acting as Chairperson for the Valuation Committee.
Previously, Damian held the role of Director EMEA Client Integration at State Street-AIS, successfully managing the onboarding process of all new fund launches. He began his fund accounting career with Bank of America.
Damian has completed the Professional Certificate for Designated Persons in a Fund Management Company as well as Professional Certificate in Investment Fund Services from the Institute of Bankers.
