As Waystone’s Chief People Officer, Alan plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our people strategy to support our business objectives. With over 20 years of global experience in the financial services industry, Alan has a proven track record in driving organisational success through effective people management strategies. He has a wealth of expertise in leadership, talent acquisition, HR strategy, and organisational transformation.
Throughout his career, Alan has served in human resources (HR) leadership positions at large international companies in the financial services industry. Alan’s strategic mindset, leadership skills and business acumen have consistently enabled him to deliver exceptional results.
Prior to joining Waystone, most recently, Alan has been consulting at Vistra as they transform their HR function, where he successfully led the transformation of talent acquisition, and implemented talent mapping programmes, resulting in improved productivity and efficiencies.
Prior to this he had a long-standing career at Citco, working in several senior roles. This included Global Head of Talent Acquisition where he was responsible for the hiring strategy and effective workforce planning across the company. He also served as Citco’s Global Head of HR Business Partners/Operations where he led a team of 75 staff based across 35 countries in delivering organisational change through HR initiatives. He also played a key role in opening new offices and implementing shared services models, driving operational efficiencies and enhancing employee engagement.
Alan holds a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management from the National College of Ireland. As an active contributor in the human resources community, he has spoken at various forums and seminars.
