Chris Mooney joined Waystone in 2023 as Executive Director, based in the New York office. Chris works closely with the Global Compliance and Fund Governance team to lead the business development activities within the North America region.
Chris works with new fund launches and existing managers requiring assistance with US compliance obligations and works closely with Waystone’s Global Chief Revenue Officer and the fund governance and compliance leadership team to ensure all possible business development avenues are pursued, including researching, identifying, and analysing opportunities.
Prior to joining Waystone, Chris held the role of Sales Director at Donnelley Financial Solutions in London. Previously, Chris was a Capital Markets Associate at Milbank LLP in London, focusing on high yield bonds and cross-border securities offerings across a broad range of sectors and jurisdictions. Chris was also a Corporate Associate at Fried Frank in New York with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, representing private investment groups and public and private companies.
A qualified lawyer, Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from University College Dublin and a Master’s Law degree (LLM) from Duke University School of Law.
