Julianne Recine is an Independent Director at Waystone and is based in the United States. Joining Waystone in 2024, Julianne brings with her over 30 years of financial services and investment management experience.
Julianne has an in-depth understanding of operational best practices across a variety of funds and managers, having worked in the hedge fund and asset management industry throughout her career. Her experience gained in these roles means she is well placed with an excellent skillset to add value to fund fiduciary appointments. Julianne has a wealth of operational due diligence expertise and has had close engagement with large institutional investor groups, such as pension funds, endowments, family offices and sovereign funds that is highly relevant to her role of Independent Director. In addition, Julianne’s experience includes providing oversight services to funds and firms seeking to develop or enhance their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies and reporting and she has provided guidance on their ESG data aggregation.
At Waystone, Julianne provides professional fiduciary services to hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real assets and a variety of structures and strategies.
Prior to joining Waystone, Julianne was a Managing Director in the Alternative Asset Advisory and Portfolio Valuation practice at Kroll where she focused on advising investment managers and institutional investors, in addition to providing ESG advisory services. Previously, Julianne held the role of Executive Director at JP Morgan Chase where she established the Americas Control Manager organization for the Securities Services business within the Corporate Investment Bank. She was also involved with establishing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with various banking regulations. In addition, Julianne has worked with managed account and seeding platforms and has provided consulting and oversight to early stage and emerging managers.
Julianne holds an MBA and bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance and international business from Iona University’s La Penta School of Business. Julianne is a member of 100 Women in Finance, nyalt Roundtable and the Women’s Association of Venture & Equity.
