Waystone appoints Alaina Danley as Country Head of Cayman Islands
- Alaina Danley brings over two decades’ experience in the investment management industry in North America and the Cayman Islands.
- Her appointment as Country Head follows the recent news that Waystone’s global ManCo and ACD business now oversees more than $400bn in AUM.
Waystone, the leading provider of specialist services to the global asset management industry, today announces the appointment of Alaina Danley as Cayman Country Head.
Alaina’s appointment follows the implementation of Waystone’s enhanced governance structure and consistent cross-location operating model, enabling the business to deliver a single global solution.
With over two decades of investment management experience spanning North America and the Cayman Islands, Alaina brings a wealth of experience in fund-related transaction matters and institutional investor expectations in core governance areas. Her track record in delivering a highly client-centric approach to management, exceptional revenue growth and developing diverse international relationships will support Waystone through the next phase of its growth journey.
An experienced board member and governance adviser, Alaina’s tenure at Waystone exceeds 12 years during which she has held roles within Waystone Cayman as a Managing Director, Head of Fund Governance and Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to Waystone, Alaina worked at Bain Capital, a global investment firm, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Boston, USA.
Alaina serves on the Executive Committee of AIMA Cayman and is a member of both the Cayman Islands Directors Association and 100 Women in Finance. In 2021, she was featured in 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds by Hedge Fund Journal. Alaina is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and a Certified Public Accountant.
