Waystone teams with The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority to make a difference in the community

      The Waystone Cayman Islands team is very pleased to have been a part of a joint community project, in partnership with the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority, to upgrade and improve the hospital’s Paediatric Inpatient Unit play area with new countertops, flooring, new toys and games.

      The newly upgraded waiting area is designed to support patients and their families as they await treatment.

      Amber Ramsey, Executive Director at Waystone commented, “At Waystone, we are committed to making a difference in the communities in which we operate and we work alongside a variety of charitable organisations around the globe. Here in the Cayman Islands, we have always maintained close links with our local community and at the end of 2021 we began working together with The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority on a project that has culminated in an excellent result that will benefit the community and we are very please to have been able to been a part of this effort.”

      The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority, is the principal healthcare service provider in the Cayman Islands, offering the most comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and public health services.

      Joining the community effort was local business Elite Marble & Granite Ltd., who donated its time, expertise and materials to improve the waiting area for patients. Members of the Waystone team also donated their time at the facility to assist with the renovations with other donations coming in the form of new toys and equipment. Waystone will continue its partnership with The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority by committing to maintaining the space, in order that hospital staff can focus on caring for the patients.
